I didn't say the song is identical, I said the chord progression is. It's not uncommon - there are only so many chords in existence.

E.G.

Blues Traveler's Run Around is identical (chord-wise) to Sister Hazel's All For You. Bush's Glycerine is identical to Green Day's When I Come Around
